Map 51-60
From the Pabra lake north in the direction of the Luhamaa border crossing.
Border marker 51
A long empty corridor in the wood to indicate the border area. Border Guards can hide easlily here and have a good view of activities
in this are. When I was here in 2015, I was followed and observed without knowing it.

Border marker 52
The border makes a 90 degrees angle. I had to make a detour to keep my feet dry.
Border marker 52
In the end I couldn't keep them dry. Water everywhere, which is bad for my hiking shoes.
Border marker 53
Higher and dry grounds again.

Border marker 54
The area is a bit hilly here. The lower parts are wet, the higher parts are dry.
The gangboards you see, are on the Russian side. The State border runs in the middle.

Border marker 56
The border runs through along a small creek in the middle. The Russian border markers are situated close to the water. Due to the
vegetation I couldn't recognize most of them.
Border marker 56
With my zoom lense I spotted the Russian copy standing in the water.
Border marker 57
Here it looks that the creek runs on the Estonian side. You can see the orange picket close to the Russian marker at the
other side of the water.
Border marker 58
No Russian pole. I guess it's on the dry side of the half-lake.
Border marker 58
The Estonian picket was easy to find however.
Border marker 59
Very far away.
I ahould have to come back once the Estonian poles are placed.
Border marker 60
Water everywhere now. The border will run again through the swamp.
Border marker 60
